Petrolia General Store

This little store is your last option for grub before getting to Mattole Beach and the start of The Lost Coast Trail. It’s also your first option after a long drive from Ferndale.

The general store is a grocery store with deli type foods and coffee too. They also have fuel, but this should only be emergency fuel if you forgot to fill up the car before getting onto the Mattole Road.

Bear canister rentals (required for camping on the Lost Coast Trail and in the King Range) are available at the store as BLM has partnered with them.

Petrolia General Store is open seven days a week. Note that they are a “cash only” store.
