Powerhouse Park

Powerhouse Park is the main waterfront park in Del Mar. It has large grass lawns, walking paths, showers, a playground for kids, picnic tables, and benches looking out over Del Mar City Beach. Restrooms are available at the lifeguard tower building just a short distance north.

Between the park and the lifeguard tower you’ll find a few options for food including Jake’s, Poseidon, and the Del Mar Snack Shack. During the summer months you can find a rental tents for surfboards, bodyboards, SUPs, and wetsuits.

Coast Boulevard and the active railroad tracks are directly behind the park. From downtown Del Mar walk or drive down 15th Street toward the water then turn right on Coast Blvd and you’ll find Powerhouse Park. There are street parking spaces and a large lot on Coast Boulevard across from the park.
