About Bolsa Point Beach in Pescadero, California

The Bolsa Point Beach is located just north of Pigeon Point in San Mateo County. This sandy beach at the mouth of an unnamed gulch is hidden from view below a bluff and behind a farm at the address 9351 Highway 1. This land is part of the Bean Hollow Ranch which was purchased by Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST), a group that protects land around Silicon Valley. Over sixty acres of this land acquisition was deeded over to California State Parks in 2005. Access to these stunning sandy beaches will be provided by the state in the future as funds are set aside for the projects. In the meantime, a similar sandy surrogate beach is Pistachio Beach just south in Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park.
