Fisk Mill Cove

Fisk Mill Cove Beach is a rocky beach in Salt Point State Park in Sonoma County. There is a well-signed separate park entrance off Highway 1 for this area. Turn right after exiting the highway to get to the beach. Alternatively there is a pullout parking area along the highway north of the entrance but it requires a longer hike to reach the beach. The Sentinel Rock Viewing Platform has a picnic area and nice spot to look over the ocean. The surf here can be very strong and huge sneaker waves can crash onshore so be aware when on the beaches. A hiking trail along the bluff connects Fisk Mill Cove to Stump Beach Cove to the south. Note that the entrance to Kruse Rhododendron State Natural Reserve is across the highway if you are looking for a different hiking experience – it’s best during the spring bloom.
