About Gazos Creek Beach in Pescadero, California

Gazos Creek Beach Access is the northernmost part of Ano Nuevo State Reserve in southern San Mateo County. There is a parking lot just off Highway 1 north of a lonely gas station mini-mart and the bridge over Gazos Creek. A short hiking trail takes you from the parking lot down to the beach below. The creek flows into the ocean at this location and creates a large pool behind the beach which attracts birds. The tall Pigeon Point Lighthouse can be seen to the north from here. Gazos Creek Beach has a southern access as well.

The small parking area can be found along the highway south of the gas station area. A trail takes you directly to the beach well south of the creek. If you want lunch, dinner, or just a good beer, the Highway 1 Brewing Company is open Friday through Monday and is right next to the gas station at Gazos Creek.
