About Little Jackass Creek Beach in Westport, California

Little Jackass Creek Beach is a hike-in only beach located in Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. The smallish dark sandy beach here sits in a cove at the mouth of Little Jackass Creek and has protection from the west by a rocky wall called Mistake Point. The point has a rock arch in the bottom of it making this a picturesque spot. Access is via The Lost Coast Trail which winds through the park starting at Usal Beach in the south and Bear Harbor Beach in the north. There is a wilderness camp spot at Little Jackass Creek Beach and camping is suggested as this is far enough from your car that it makes sense to stay overnight. Read up and be prepared for backcountry travel and camping in this region.
