Likely with more tourists than residents, the extremely small town of Westport includes just one gas station. There are, however, a handful of places to stay in town, while the parks and beaches provide plenty of remote options, as well. Westport-Union Landing State Beach includes campsites right on the bluff that beautifully look down upon the ocean below. Sinkyone Wilderness State Park is so rugged and remote that no highways cross the coast. Sinkyone has several beaches, but for most you need to backpack or hike to get to them.
