Seadrift Beach

Seadrift Beach spans the entire length of Seadrift Road in the private gated community of Seadrift at Stinson Beach, CA. Seadrift is a popular place to rent vacation homes. It is located on a sand spit between Bolinas Lagoon and Bolinas Bay where the ocean beach is south-facing. The community is private and so is the road, but the beach is public. Most of the beach is lined with tightly packed houses so if you are staying here just drive to the end of the road where there is a small park with beach access, sand dunes, tennis courts, and a picnic area. From the park look out onto the lagoon for birds or consider walking the ocean beach in front of the homes. It’s a pleasant walk with a ridge of dunes between the wide beach and the homes. If you are not staying in Seadrift, your public access is at Upton Beach, a Marin County beach access at Van Praag Road which is just outside the Seadrift gated entrance. From that access you can walk west on Seadrift Beach or east toward Stinson Beach.
