About Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach, California

Shoreline Aquatic Park is a city park on Queensway Bay near downtown Long Beach, CA. A sandy beach occupies the north side of the park on Rainbow Harbor, but it terminates at a protective rocky shoreline so it’s not easy or inviting to enter the water. However, the park has some amazing views of the Queen Mary Ship & Hotel, the Long Beach skyline, and the Aquarium of the Pacific which is next door and has a lot to offer visitors. At the center of Shoreline Aquatic Park on a grassy hill is a tall lighthouse tower with a paved spiral walkway leading to it. Picnic tables and benches make this a great spot to relax and take in the view. Nearby is the Catalina Express ferry that can sweep you off to Santa Catalina Island for the day or a longer stay. There is a parking lot for this park at PierPoint Landing just past the aquarium.
