About Stengel Beach in Sea Ranch, California

Stengel Beach is a northern Sonoma County public beach located in the private community of Sea Ranch. The beach is in a small cove surrounded by a rocky bluff. Rocks offshore break up the waves as they roll in and add surf noise to the atmosphere.

There is a parking lot for Stengel Beach on Wild Iris Road just off Highway 1 in Sea Ranch. Park in the public lot (toilets provided and fee required) and venture down the access trail. The hike to the beach is about one-eighth mile each way, which makes it the easiest beach in Sea Ranch to get to. Like all the beaches in this area, the surf here is dangerous with sneaker waves and strong currents.
