About Warm Water Jetty Beach in Carlsbad, California

Warm Water Jetty Beach is the southern end of Carlsbad State Beach in Carlsbad, CA. It is named for the rock jetties where warm water flows out from the power-generating plant behind the beach.

Locating this beach isn’t hard because you can see the huge smoke stack from all around the area. The long sand spit protects Agua Hedionda Lagoon, a large open-water lagoon that is part watercraft recreation area and part ecological reserve.

Parking for Warm Water Jetty Beach is all along Carlsbad Boulevard between the entrance to the lagoon and the power plant.
