About Westport-Union Landing State Beach in Westport, California

Westport-Union Landing State Beach is a three mile long rocky shoreline north of the small town of Westport, CA. The main sandy beach in this state park is at Howard Creek where the beach extends back into the gulch.

There is a day-use parking lot and picnic area for Westport-Union Landing State Beach at the first road north of the Highway 1 bridge over Howard Creek (see our map). Park hours are 5am to 10pm.

Camp spots for RVs and tent campers can be found between the highway and the bluff north and south of the main day-use area. These are available on a first-come first-served basis and can only be paid for with cash or check.

Across the highway is the Howard Creek Ranch Inn Bed and Breakfast where you can stay and eat a farm fresh meal. The south end of this state park is known as DeHaven Creek Beach where an old park entrance has been decommissioned.
