Tucked away along the banks of the Big Sur River, the nostalgic Big Sur River Inn & Restaurant transports guests back to a setting where time seemingly stands still, draped by the peacefulness of towering redwoods. First opened in the 1930s, the original Apple Pie Inn lives up to its namesake with fresh Apple Pie still on the menu. The landmark Big Sur property serves up around 20 suites and rustic motel rooms. You won’t find telephones in the guestrooms and pets are not allowed, but the inn does invite live music and the convenience of its own general store. South of San Francisco and Monterey, guests enjoy the ease of nearby Pfeiffer Beach and Wreck Beach.
