About Marina

From paragliding to hang gliding, you will find it all in the beach community of Marina. Listen for the roaring surf and the sound of sea lions at Marina Dunes, then head to Marina State Beach to watch some hang-gliders in action. While picnics are a great choice, due to powerful rip currents, the beach is not good for swimming or other water sports. While in Marina, hike to the Salinas River National Wildlife Refuge for a chance to view some of the area’s most amazing endangered and threatened animals and plants.
