About MacKerricher State Park in Fort Bragg, California

MacKerricher Main Beach is the beach closest to the main entrance and campgrounds in MacKerricher State Park north of Fort Bragg. It’s a dark sand beach that is about a mile in length.

In addition to a long sandy beach and campgrounds for tent and RV campers, this area of the state park offers a lake for fishing and non-motorized boating (on Lake Cleone), a multi-use recreational trail for walking and biking (Old Haul Road Trail), and a seal and whale watching station.

Walking north on the beach takes you into Ten Mile Beach with extensive dunes and a remote beachcombing opportunity.
