About Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California
Wayfarers Chapel is a peaceful place on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. It’s located along Palos Verdes Drive directly above Abalone Cove and not far from Terranea Resort. The chapel and grounds were designed in 1947 by Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright. Redwood trees that were planted at that time have grown to be large stunning trees. Many other tree species, shrubs, and a rose garden have made this site one of the most beautifully landscaped in the Los Angeles / Long Beach area. Wayfarers Chapel is a popular place for weddings, but anyone can stop by to enjoy it. The visitors center is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
