About Alan Sieroty Beach at Millerton Point in Marshall, California
Millerton Point is a little-known part of Tomales Bay State Park in Marin County. Millerton Point is an undeveloped open space on the east side of Tomales Bay alongside Highway 1. There are wetlands in two areas on the point and a loop trail of less than a mile takes you around the perimeter making bird-watching easy. There isn’t a lot of sandy beach here per se, but the loop trail does provide shore access in several places where you can walk around if tide isn’t high. The beach here is named Alan Sieroty Beach for a former California State Senator. At the trailhead the state park has provided restrooms and picnic tables. The Millerton Point parking lot is on Highway 1 south of the town of Marshall.
