About Bird Walk Coastal Access in Bodega Bay, California

Bird Walk Coastal Access is a Sonoma County park with trails and wetlands right on Bodega Harbor. The park is mostly a saltwater marsh that has been revitalized by Sonoma County Parks Department. There is an accessible loop trail with benches that takes you around ponds and through this bird-watching spot. The parking lot is right off Highway 1 in Bodega Bay, CA just north of the Doran Park Road. From the Bird Walk Coastal Access lot you can walk to Doran Beach via a footbridge and hiking trail along Cheney Creek. Both of these parks require a fee for parking. Strangely this birding location is open to dogs (on leash), but try to keep Fido from scaring off the birds. Even stranger yet, this “bird walk” trail is open to bikes, so come ride around and explore the Doran Spit too.
