Bluebird Beach

Bluebird Beach is a narrow sandy beach in front of the Surf & Sand Resort near the intersection of Highway 1 and Bluebird Canyon Drive in Laguna Beach, California.

The resort is built right to the sand level so there is no feel of privacy here, but it’s a wonderful beach. Walking on the beach in either direction is delightful, especially when the tide is out.

South of Bluebird is Agate Street Beach and then Pearl Street Beach which has the “Keyhole Arch” in the rocky Point that separates it from Woods Cove. Just offshore to the north is Halfway Rock and on a clear day you can see Catalina Island from this long stretch of Laguna Beach’s shoreline.

North there are more dead-end street stairway access points at Mountain Road Beach and Cress Street Beach. These nearby beaches have a different feel because the homes are built up on the bluff instead of on the beach.

Access to Bluebird Beach is down a ramp on the south side of the Laguna Sands building at 1585 S Coast Highway (Hwy 1). Metered street parking is available along the highway nearby.
