Brooks Street Beach

The access to Brooks Street Beach is at the end of Brooks Street in Laguna Beach. The beach itself doesn’t stand out much from the others in the area, but it’s a great spot to start a long beach walk if you are not here to surf.

There is a simple sitting area with railings at the top of the stairs where you can enjoy the view and watch surfers at one of the best surf spots in Laguna. The risers on the wave contoured stairs have bright blue patterns on them reinforcing the wave theme. The rock shelf next to the bottom of the stairs can be a good ocean viewpoint too.

This beach is not for swimming or bodyboarding, mainly because of the conflicts with surfers, but also because of the rocky bottom under the waves.

Surfing is not allowed at Oak Street Beach north of here and is not advised at Cress Street Beach south of the rocky point. Head to either of those if you want to get into the water without a board.

Look for tide pools at Brooks Street Beach during low tides, especially to the south (left when looking at the water).

For parking, there are metered parking spots near the Brooks Street access.
