About Cayucos Beach in Cayucos, California
Cayucos Beach is the city-owned beach south of the state beach in Cayucos, CA. Cayucos Beach lies in front of the many beachfront homes along Pacific Avenue south of the downtown area.
This is a gradually sloping beach so at low tide it’s wide and at high tide it’s almost entirely wet. There are large rocks in the surf in several spots along Cayucos Beach and the massive Morro Rock is visible in the distance to the south.
You’ll find free parking spots along Pacific Ave and many stairways between homes that allow access to the beach. Look for paths next to “Coastal Access” signs near these streets: 1st, 3rd, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 16th, 19th, and 21st.
The bookends of this city beach are two state beaches, Cayucos State Beach at the Cayucos Pier in downtown Cayucos and Morro Strand State Beach’s North Beach with an entrance at 24th Street and Pacific Avenue.
