About County Line Beach in Ventura, California

County Line Beach is just inside Ventura County and very near the border with Los Angeles County in western Malibu. It’s in a separate part of Leo Carrillo State Park which has other beaches and recreational areas on the LA County side.

Surfing, fishing, and scuba diving are popular here and shoreline access is easy as County Line Beach is next to Highway 1. Sunbathing, swimming, and playing in the waves is fun too, but safest when the lifeguard stations are staffed.

Parking for County Line Beach is limited to a small dirt parking lot and shoulder parking along Pacific Coast Highway.

Neptune’s Net seafood restaurant is across the highway at the intersection with Yerba Buena Road. This restaurant has been featured in several big movies and is a popular meeting place for car clubs and motorcycle groups. Seating is first come-first served so stop in and enjoy the good food and welcoming atmosphere.

The main part of Leo Carrillo State Park, just south of County Line Beach, has a visitor center, campground, lifeguards, picnic areas, and hiking trails to explore.
