About Duck Beach in Inverness, California

Duck Beach is a boat-in beach and the northernmost beach on Point Reyes Peninsula. It’s located on the east side of Tomales Point just south of the northern tip. Duck Beach is a boat-in campground only so you must get here by boat or kayak. There is no fresh water available here and all human waste must be carried out. Boats can be launched at Nick’s Cove public boat launch or rented at Lawson’s Landing across the bay. Kayaks can be rented in Inverness or Marshall from Blue Waters Kayaking. Note that the tidal currents are strong in this area so only experienced kayakers should attempt a trip to Duck Beach. There are many other boat-in camping beaches on Tomales Bay if you want to find a safer landing spot.
