About Hog Island in Marshall, California

Hog Island is a small vegetated island in the center of Tomales Bay. It’s about three-quarters of a mile from the Miller Boat Launch at Nick’s Cove on the east side of the bay. Blue Waters Kayaking rents kayaks and helps with launching from their store in nearby Marshall. Hog Island is for day-use only and the eastern half of the island has been closed for sensitive wildlife habitat. So only pull up your boat on the western half of the island. Hog Island and the adjacent smaller Duck Island are part of Point Reyes National Seashore.
