About Pelican North Beach in Inverness, California

Pelican North Beach is a boat-in beach on Tomales Bay in Point Reyes National Seashore. Camping is acceptable here for those who visit by boat or by kayak. South of this beach is Pelican Point which sticks out sharply into Tomales Bay. Boats are not allowed to land at the point because of wildlife protection. There is no fresh water available at Pelican North Beach and all human waste must be carried out. Boats can be launched at Nick’s Cove public boat launch (nickscove.com) or rented at Lawson’s Landing (lawsonslanding.com). Kayaks can be rented in Inverness or Marshall from Blue Waters Kayaking (bwkayak.com).
