La Jolla Strand Beach is located along Neptune Place between Palomar Avenue and Gravilla Street in La Jolla. There are several stairs along Neptune Place in this area so you can get down the short steep bluff.
The beach is a series of sandstone ledges with pockets of sand between. The character of the beach changes with the seasons as there will be less sand during the winter months. It’s not a wide beach so try to avoid high tides.
You’ll have to park on the street somewhere in this area because there is no designated parking area. Usually there is a portable toilet at the stairs by Gravilla St.
