Oceanside Pier View South Beach

Pier View South Beach is the most popular beach in Oceanside, CA. Like the name suggests, it’s the beach just south of Oceanside Pier, and yes the beach on the other side is called Pier View North.

These wide sandy beaches are closest to the downtown area and they have the most amenities nearby including restaurants, shopping, and the pier itself. The quarter-mile long pier is a top attraction for those who like to walk and are curious about the pier view.

The building at the end of the pier has been home to a Ruby’s Diner for 25 years, but it recently closed. Hopefully another restaurant will take over that space. There is a large amphitheater next to the pier entrance where events are held.

Pier View South Beach has a parking lot at the corner of Pacific Street and Seagaze Drive (1st St) and several other pay lots in the pier area, but they fill up on sunny days and so does the beach.
