About Pebble Beach of Sea Ranch in Sea Ranch, California

Pebble Beach is in the housing community of Sea Ranch and gets it’s name from the dark pebbly sand. Sonoma County has protected this beach despite the development and made sure it remains open to the general public. For a small fee we all have access to this and the other four beaches at Sea Ranch. At low tides, many tide pools are exposed especially at the south end of the cove.

The parking lot for Pebble Beach is located on the ocean side of Highway 1 just south of the Navigators Reach entrance road. Toilets are provided at the parking lot, but not at the beach. A quarter-mile long hiking trail connects the parking area to the beach. When you get to the T-intersection in the trail, go right over a footbridge and look for the stairs down to the beach. Signs here explain the rules, but just be careful to stay on the access trail and don’t venture onto other trails.
