About Sunset Point Beach in Los Angeles, California

Sunset Point Beach, aka Sunset Beach, is located in the Pacific Palisades district of Los Angeles and is the northernmost beach in Will Rogers State Beach. This narrow beach north of the point at the bottom of Sunset Boulevard is separated from the rest of the state park by a rocky sandless stretch.

Sunset Point is known as a great beginning surfers spot. The waves are long right-hand rollers that give beginners a safe long ride, especially on longboards. The rest of the state beach south of Sunset Point offers volleyball and a more typical sandy Socal sunbathing beach.

Gladstone’s Restaurant, a popular family-friendly restaurant known for seafood, is at the south end of Sunset Point Beach where Sunset Boulevard ends at Pacific Coast Highway.

Parking for Sunset Beach is available along the shoulder of PCH north and south of Gladstone’s and also available in their parking lot as a last resort.
