Love playing at the beach, but don’t like the sand and sticky salt water residue left on your body (or board, or kid, or dog) afterwards? Then go to a beach that has a fresh water beach shower. As part of our “beach research” (it’s a tough job) we identify the amenities at every California beach, including whether or not it has a shower. Out of the nearly 300 beaches in Southern California, around 100 have shower facilities. That’s a little more than one third of all SoCal beaches!
To make it easy to see where these beaches are, we have added every Southern California public beach with a shower to the beach list below. They are in order from south to north so San Diego County beaches are at the top, then Orange County, then Los Angeles County ending at Malibu.
