About Mission Point Park on Mission Bay in San Diego, California

Mission Point Park is a nice grass park in the Mission Beach area of San Diego. The park shoreline is made up of piled rocks to avoid erosion, but it has an adjacent sandy beach on the Mission Bay side of the peninsula just inside the Entrance Channel. It won’t be nearly as busy as the ocean side at South Mission Beach, but it’s a nice change of pace and has calm protected waters. Swimming, boating, sailing, and kayaking are common activities from this spot. To get here drive south from the Belmont Park Amusement Park on Mission Boulevard to the end of the road and turn left into the parking lot.
