De Anza Cove Park on Mission Bay

De Anza Cove Park is a large park in the northeast corner of Mission Bay Park in San Diego. It has a boat launch, volleyball courts, picnic tables, play areas for kids, and more. Basketball courts are nearby at Claremont Drive next to the Mission Bay Park Visitor Center.

The beach here is a narrow strip of sand that wraps around De Anza Cove. The widest beach is at the end of the cove next to Mission Bay RV Resort where signs used to discourage public entry. This is a public beach so enjoy it if you can walk, swim, or paddle over.

De Anza Cove Park is located on Mission Bay at 3000 East Mission Bay Drive, San Diego. Lifeguards are on staff from spring break through the month of October. Mission Bay Golf Course is across the street from De Anza Park. Campland on the Bay is close if you want to camp (tent or RV).
