About Oceanside Harbor Beach in Oceanside, California
Oceanside Harbor Beach is a wide sandy beach in front of Oceanside’s harbor. The beach is boxed in by two rock jetties at the ends which seems to hold in the large amounts of sand here. It’s a popular beach for sunbathing.
Oceanside Pier is in the distance to the south and the Oceanside Marina is visible right behind the beach (good place to SUP). The sidewalks behind the beach and around the harbor offer miles of walking opportunities.
The harbor has shops and restaurants if you plan to spend the entire day at the beach. You’ll also find volleyball courts, picnic areas, barbeques for grilling, and other beach amenities.
Those who are into fishing can cast off the jetties at Harbor Beach. If you don’t have a license and want to fish, head down to the pier as pier fishing is free in California.
Surfers ride the waves at Harbor Beach like they do down by the pier. Kitesurfing is big here too.
To get to Oceanside Harbor Beach from Interstate 5, take the Harbor Drive exit and follow it to the pay parking lots at the end right on the beach.
