About Pebbly Beach on Catalina Island in Avalon, California

Pebbly Beach is on Pebbly Beach Road a mile or so east from Avalon on Catalina Island. This beach is located in an industrial area with the island’s helicopter airport, a boat ramp, a water desalinization plant, and a power generation plant.

Pebbly Beach is not your typical sunbathing beach, but you can put-in or take a break while kayaking this end of the island. If you happen to visit or stop off at this beach, there is a Buffalo Nickel Restaurant for refueling the body before your return trip to Avalon.

The Catalina Express operates boats daily to Avalon from the mainland in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Dana Point.
