Heisler Park has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s. The land was originally owned by a local businessman named Howard G. Heisler, who purchased it in the 1920s with the intention of building a grand hotel. However, due to financial difficulties, Heisler was unable to complete the project, and the land remained undeveloped for several decades. In the 1960s, the City of Laguna Beach acquired the property and began transforming it into a public park. The park was officially dedicated in 1984 and has since become one of the most popular attractions in the area. The park’s gardens and landscaping have won numerous awards, and the public art installations have become an integral part of Laguna Beach’s thriving art scene. Today, Heisler Park stands as a testament to the city’s commitment to preserving its natural beauty and promoting public access to its stunning coastline.

Growing up in Laguna as an adolescent, Hiesler Park was where you went if your visiting it wasn’t where you went to hang out as kids , unless your spending the day with your parents,
Now at 40 years of age I, frequent this area of Laguna every weekend if I’m lucky enough I spend the earliest of morning hours prior to the regular crowd about day break, I prefer to call the few of us “The Early Bird’s ” Locals are known for communicating with each other along the path you can’t miss them in their puffy vests , trucker hats and shades many I’ll see every day, so In other words respect Laguna Beach and Southern Californians prestige Hiesler Park . On weekends you’re ok to be out past 12am if your not making noise but the beaches tend to stay under a curfew from 10pm till 5am high tides and late party drinking doesn’t work , you’ll definitely get the wrong locals attention
