About Jones Beach in Whitethorn, California

Jones Beach is located below Jones Beach Camp on the bluff between two creek drainages in Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. Jones Beach Camp is an environmental tent campsite along the Lost Coast Trail. Unfortunately Jones Beach is not much of a beach except at low tide. Access to the beach is via a hiking trail that begins on the Bear Harbor Road before the Needle Rock Visitor Center. If you drive here, there is parking at the Needle Rock Visitor Center about a mile away. The drive to get here is very long and begins in the town of Garberville on Highway 101.
