About Willow Creek Beach on Russian River in Jenner, California

Willow Creek Beach is located on the sandy banks of the Russian River near the town of Jenner. The beach is part of Willow Creek Environmental Camp in Sonoma Coast State Park. This is a walk-in tent campground with sites that are shaded by willow trees. The camp has toilets but no running water so pack some in. Signs warn of ticks and lyme disease in the area. This spot on the river is a great place to launch kayaks and canoes for exploring the Russian River. To get here, turn onto Willow Creek Road from Highway 1 just south of the Russian River bridge in Jenner. Note that even though this is a popular swimming area, they have found a dangerous algae in the water recently and don’t recommend entering the water. This warning is especially true for kids and dogs.
