About Cherry Cove on Catalina Island in Avalon, California
Cherry Cove Beach is a private beach located on the west end of Catalina Island near the small town and ferry landing at Two Harbors. The Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) has a facility at Cherry Cove – one of three CIMI educational youth camps on the island.
The beach here is unfortunately closed to the general public. Cherry Cove is also a popular boat moorage harbor that can be reserved online through the Two Harbors Mooring Reservation System.
The Catalina Express operates boats daily to Catalina Island from the mainland in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Dana Point (to get to Two Harbors take the LA ferry).
