About Moonstone Beach on Catalina Island in Avalon, California

Moonstone Beach is in Moonstone Cove on the northeast side of Catalina Island just south of Whites Landing. The two coves, White and Moonstone, are separated by a rocky point that juts out into the bay.

Moonstone Beach is private and operated by Newport Harbor Yacht Club based in Newport Beach, CA. The cove has many moorings available and room for boat anchorage too.

Catalina Express operates ferries daily to Avalon on Catalina Island from the mainland in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Dana Point.
