About RCA Beach in Bolinas, California

RCA Beach is a clothing-optional beach at the south end of Point Reyes Peninsula just outside the National Seashore boundary. RCA used to have a separate access via steep trails that began where the pavement ends on Mesa Road north of Bolinas, CA. However, it seems that route has become overgrown and just too dangerous where it drops down the eroding bluff to the sea. Now the best way to get to this remote spot is by walking south on the beach from Palomarin Beach which is a well-known trailhead in Point Reyes National Seashore. The Palomarin parking lot is at the very end of Mesa Road.
