About South Shores Park on Mission Bay in San Diego, California
South Shores Park is a little used beach at the south end of Mission Bay in San Diego. This small park has picnic tables, a covered picnic spot, a beach with fire rings, and a view toward Sea World next door. There is a large boat launch next to the park and that is why most people visit this undeveloped part of Mission Bay. The Mission Bay Bike Path passes by here so it would be a good place to start a bike ride if you already have a bike to ride. If not, bike rentals are available at Mission Beach. Parking for 72 hours is allowed for boaters, but camping is not allowed at South Shores Park. The park entrance is at South Shores Park Drive off Sea World Drive.
