There are some very well known hotels and resorts on the California Coast (See related: Best Beach Resorts in California), such as the Hotel del Coronado and the Hotel Laguna, that get a lot of attention in the travel industry. And while they absolutely deserve that positive press, we’d also like to call out a few coastal hotels in California that tend to be a bit more off the radar.

Some of these hotels are easy to spot, while some require a bit of driving from the coastline, but all of them are wonderful places to stay.

Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur

With so many beautiful hotels in the Santa Barbara area, it can be tough to choose where to stay.
