About Christmas Cove Beach in Laguna Beach, California

Christmas Cove Beach is a west-facing beach below the bluff west of the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. This is one of several beaches that are very close together between Treasure Island Beach and Victoria Beach.

To get to Christmas Cove, walk past the resort and continue on the paved pathways that meander through the grass park on the bluff. Eventually you will get to the ramp at the west end. At the bottom of this ramp if you go right you are on Christmas Beach and if you go left you are on Goff Cove Beach. A breakwater wall goes from Goff Island Rock to the bluff and separates these two beaches. You’ll probably see people climbing up onto Goff Island, just be very careful if you decide to go up there as the surface can be loose and slippery.

Lifeguards might be on hand at Christmas Cove Beach where swimming and wading is safer when the surf is calm. Rip current form at this beach making swimming dangerous most of the time.

Street parking is available on Pacific Coast Highway near the Montage Resort. Victoria Beach is a stunning locals beach just north of Christmas Cove that is known for it’s hidden Victorian Tower.

This beach is awesome! Beautiful sand for walking and playing. It’s easy to get to and connects to other beaches near Treasure Island. We enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon there.
