About Treasure Island Beach in Laguna Beach, California

Treasure Island Beach is south of the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, California. This sandy beach is the north end of the same large cove that begins at Aliso Beach Park.

Treasure Island Beach is a safer place to swim than Aliso Beach because it has some protection from huge rocks just offshore. If you plan to swim here look for rip currents before entering the water and consult with the lifeguards if you are unsure.

Access to Treasure Island Beach is down a long concrete ramp on the southwest side of the Montage Resort. There is a large flat platform at the bottom of this wheelchair accessible beach access.

West of this platform you can hike on the rocks around the point through a natural rock arch on the way to Middle Man Cove and Goff Cove beyond that (best at low tide). Tide pools can be found all around in this area when the tide is out.

Walking paths meander all around the blufftop next to the resort and have views of Treasure Island, Goff Island, and Christmas Cove.

Parking for Treasure Island Beach is available along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH/Hwy 1), in a parking garage above the beach, and also at Aliso Beach Park if you are willing to walk that far.

This beach must get its name from the book Treasure Island. Kids love this place. Wander over the rocks and through the arch if you can. It isn’t easy so take your time and watch your footing. Good tidepools. Wish I could share our photos.

This beach is perfect for a family beach day! When the tide is lower be sure to walk through the arch to Middle Man Cove. We love the Laguna Beach area!
